My son is looking for a real cheap but well maintained KLR ($2000 range due to no job).
 
Hello Boulder Ed, unfortunately I will not be able to let it go for 2k. I would suggest that he look for a Gen1 in the higher mileage side. I've found that most KLR owners do thier own maintenance, and I have seen quite a few older bikes going for closer to 2k. Good Luck! 🤞
 
Yes sir I get it. They are everywhere out there, so I'm sure he can find a decent one in time. Even though I see them, and DR650's with over 50k, from time to time, I personally would really want to know the rider and history to buy one with much more than 25K on any single, because I'd be the guy having to rebuild it if something went south :-)
