The months are flying by...it's time for another 1st Tuesday. This coming Tuesday...May 1...we will meet again at El Fenix in Grapevine @ 7PM.

One big event planned for May is the "Redneck Ramble" May 19-20. It will be held this year in Bonham and headquartered at the Holiday Inn Express. Lots of fun on Saturday afternoon & evening...then 150+ miles of great Texas dual sport riding on Sunday. For more info...go to www.dualsportuniverse.com and be sure to register and reserve your hotel room!

May is a great month to ride...good weather and school isn't out yet, so no huge crowds at the parks. If you want to put together a ride...just post it up here.

See you Tuesday night at El Fenix!:puke:

We had another good turnout for our 1st Tuesday...about 20 riders.

First the bad news...a couple riders were planning on making the Texas Adventure Ride in Junction this coming weekend...and found out that it has been canceled. I think that all riders who were registered were called and notified, but if you were planning on just heading down on your own...there is no organized ride this weekend. Check out their thread for all the info: http://www.twtex.com/forums/showthread.php?t=116637

The Redneck Ramble is scheduled for May 19-20 and will be held in Bonham. Chris was there tonight and gave a brief update on the route. Approximately 160 miles...with only about 30 paved. He rode the route this past weekend and thinks everyone will like it. Check out their website for info & registration: www.dualsportuniverse.com

May is always a good month for riding. If you are planning on putting together a ride...feel free to post it here. Have a good month!:rider:

Does anyone have any info or experience on the Sam Houston National Forest? Best I can tell from other threads here and on other sites is that there is always a question over whether it is actually open to bikes. I know they were closed down a couple years ago to repair rain/flood damage. Does anyone know for sure what the current status is? Has anyone been out there riding that can give us an opinion on whether it is actually worth a drive over there a weekend of riding...assuming it is open?
