Hello from Marble Falls, I’m looking for dirt/gravel roads to get some seat time on my new DR. How much of that run is asphalt ?

On a side note, many years ago I took a left on a dirt road while headed north on HWY 71 past RM-2233 ( road to sunrise beach) took it all the way to Fredricksburg.

I don’t know if anybody still watches this thread….but weather looks decent tomorrow. I’m going to leave in the morning from the San Marcos area 8 to 9am and ride north, top of my loop probably being Pontotoc. Then head back south, not sure if I will primitive camp (private property on Pedernales) or get a room somewhere. Will play things by ear. Just thought I would throw it out there. Will be on my 950 Super Enduro sniffing out the greatest hits dirt roads in that zone…..at a medium clip

Steve, I already have other riding plans for tomorrow but we’re practically neighbors and I’d like to hook up with you for a ride sometime. I ride the Hill Country nearly every weekend.

Nice!!! It sure was a good weekend to be out and about on 2 wheels. Even though I’ve covered this area a lot, I managed to still find some adventure out there and stitch together a good long day!! Might do a mini ride report and blab more about it.
