I worked out a deal with @older few months back to buy his beta trials bike, to do so I also had to part with my 76 bmw r60/6.
The stars aligned, someone in dfw wanted the beemer, so we agreed to meet in cleburne since I had to go to glenn rose.
@Southland I headed out at 7am, trailer in tow and put the hammer down. We arrived right on 6 minutes late to sell the bike. Had to tell the back story, unload and load and collect some money.
After that we headed to dougs, where he and @mitchntx were patiently waiting. A few kicks and the beta came to life, I slowly putted around to get used to it, paid doug, filled out a bill of sale.
This brought us to lunchtime. So doug and I hopped on scooters. Doug picked the super duke, I chose the fz1. Kirk chose to ride in the truck with mitch. Off we went to eat some good BBQ at hammond's in glenn rose. Ran into a coworker of mine who was on a last minute project right down the road who joined us for lunch.
After lunch we rode back to Doug's, I rode the beta again, still trying to get my trials legs. Then we loaded up and headed home.
Had some light traffic on 35 in austin, besides that it was smooth sailing.
12 hours from my gate to my gate.
Doug and mitch it was great to meet yall finally!
Kirk I'll see you at 7am for some trail slaying.
