A guy named John Wells lives in this area west of 118. Look up The Field Lab. Totally off the grid and very interesting story. This was more like Mars than Big Bend. This is just west across 118 from Terlingua Ranch Rd. View attachment 289341
I like that spot. Stumbled across it some years ago. No mistaking it.
I want that toyhauler. You keep those stinky socks. What the heck. This isn't even a riding pic in BB. There's not even a motorcycle in the pic. But it is one of the best parts of a day riding in BB when you kick back and just remember the day's ride and relax.View attachment 291916
Bob, AKA Waldo is a great guy. Explored many of the ranch roads plus all the asphalt in the area with him on my many trips out there. All rides always ended up at the porch for a cold one or two to wash the dust down. Here is one of a great memory photo. Nov 2012. In the Shift shirt, my friend from 2nd grade who quite riding, me and General Submarine Bob from IL. He knew his way around North and S. County Rd. better than anyone I’ve met out there. Great guy.View attachment 311899
That is too funny. You can beat those beers on the porch, watching the sun go down and that beer. Doesn’t get much better than that.Bob, AKA Waldo is a great guy. Explored many of the ranch roads plus all the asphalt in the area with him on my many trips out there. All rides always ended up at the porch for a cold one or two to wash the dust down.
