RR2323 hedded north from the Gilespie County line....this is where the Bluebonnets really start....hmmmm ..seeds of possibility
& this....this is Llano CR312 ...starts just outside of town & runs paved for 10 miles....& ends here
nice road...not too many Bluebonnets... But nice
Towards the end of 312 youll see a big gate with a paved road to your left....
DO NOT ENTER ..this is Buck Creek Ranch & private... A manager patrols the road & will stop you...he did me...twice

Llano CR226 behind Babyhead Cemetery runs for 5+ mi paved to the county line...then its 232 & gravel to Cherokee

I jus couldnt point it toward home....its Friday afternoon..... Mason....& now ..Junction for the nite....I'll go home tomorro. (no Verizion service out here...but motel has wifi)
What a day.... Tommys pizza for lunch....Lums BBQ for supper....I oughtta sleep good tonite....well ..mabe after a couple a beverages....

If ya'll are of the persuasion to hunt for bluebonnets n such....the best Ive seen soo far...is in Llano County....but not anything like Ive seen em in some years....not thick by any means... The major highways ..ranch/FM roads all have a lining of blue

Last weekend went from S.A. to Bandera, Kerrville, Fredricksburg. Had to be north of I 10 to see any color. Just had a good storm so it should start soon.

Finally...I have ph service again...
Went from Junction all the way to Menard without seeing any bluebonnets ..FM2291 2090 & 29
& the usual spot on FM1222 didnt have much either
The Granite quarrys at Katemcy are a surprise if youve never been out here...this one between 1222 & Old Mason Rd
& this one just east of Katemcy...
The whole area is covered in granite
At Ponotoc ....FM501 now
A few more bonnets showin up...
3 days.....760 miles...... & ..here ya go...all this at one intersection...in every direction
& more on & just off of CR274
