Never knew 30 was old. Funny that the OP is now over 40.
Even when I was younger (like my teens) I didn't think you were old till like age 50 or 60.
Now that I am less than half a year from 50, it also does not seem that old.
While I don't feel I am old, I know I can't do things like I used to. I just say I am not as young as I used to be, I am not old.
I still remember the day I realized I was not young anymore.
I was 33 and was up on my roof doing something (I think putting up Christmas lights). I used a 6 foot A frame ladder to get up.
When I went to get down, I could not feel the ladder with my foot, and could not look down and step down at the same time. I was stuck.
When I was younger, I jumped off roofs all the time and did not think twice about it.
Now, I am sitting on a roof trying to decide if I should jump down in the front or back.
If I jumped in the front and got hurt, someone would see me and call for help, or should I jump in the back so if I get hurt, nobody will see me.
I jumped off in the back, and did not get hurt, but did go to Home Depot and got a new, taller ladder.
