TORCS 2022

Someone has to get out just because they don't agree? And I imagine there was for racing votes from nonracers also. It's no biggie, race if you want don't if you don't want to. Easy.
I believe Mike Clifton went through all the votes on both sides. They wanted to make sure enough people would show up that they could make money, that was the whole reason for the po

That's pretty much what I mean when I say that. Don't bring down the ones who want to do it, just because you don't. We put to much planning and work into going racing to have it just canceled at a whim. If torcs got canceled I already had plans to go race in Arkansas.

You're probably right on why they did the poll, didn't think about that. Maybe should have put it that way to begin with. I'm sure turnout will be decent but down some. Lot of things competing for folks time in the summer without the heat issue!

Knesek in June has got to be better than Spoaks last year in June. It wasn’t dusty, but it was hot and 95% of that track was in the trees.

An uncomfortable day on dirt bikes is still better than a whole slew of stuff I might be doing on a Saturday.

Mike counting votes us funny, his wife was a yes vote. Never seen her on any bike. Lol

I'm sure hoping some pros stay home or pull off

Take it from an old gimp with a daily limp. Get that foot looked at again.

Looks to be kinda warm :):).
@Aspear, that foot gonna let you race?

Just rub some dirt on it. :)

Seriously. MX is for crazy people. Sure is fun to watch, though.
It was my second snafu of the weekend, I had a spectacular crash in a race at Iron dog mx on Sunday as well

Any consideration being given to cancel/postpone the Knesek round? 100 + temps forecast for both days, way too dangerous IMO. Military cancels training in this weather for a reason.

I’ll probably regret it the Sunday after, but I’m hoping it goes on as scheduled. I loved the course last year, and it’s the kind of property (open and flowing) that’s best suited for a hot race. Sticks this year and Spoaks last June were both tight, stuffy, and brutal. I’ll have shade and ice at the ready for Saturday.

Maybe I’m being naive, but I’m more optimistic about Knesek.

No, that had previously been discussed and shut down.

Drink water, acclimate to the heat.
It's the folks who drink beer and sit in the ac all week who have issue

This is the point where I wax anecdotal about my HS summer football 2 a days in Tucson heat that I walked uphill to and fro in 3 feet of snow.

Seriously. It was hot and I hated my coaches.

But you were better for it

There was a poll on Facebook discussed here. Even though most wanted to wait(by slim margin) racing won out! Technically not much cooler in September.

Yep. Sept is always a bad month. Used to dread the TRH Caney Creek enduro in Sept, it was known for being a brutal run due to the heat.
