That sounds awesome. Choices!

Big deal to some folks, now if they'll show up.

Am I the only one a smidge worried that having 350lb+ bikes running around with minis is kind of a Goliath vs David setup? I'm sure the 85s are gonna be faster, but when they start lapping the big bikes... wondering if a) the big bikes will even hear them and b) if there's a collision, the little bike will always lose.

Nope, you partially correct. What may be worse, I think folks are underestimating how fast a handful of guys can ride a T7. So then you have grown men with testosterone flowing trying to pass slower 85cc kids. Of course it depends on who actually shows up and if it's a flowy track.

What I have reservations about is the decisions made by the different ages. Makes me think of my LAST ever trip to Rio Bravo MX. Absolute chaos with different classes/ages of riders on the track together and no flaggers. Hopefully the big bike "adults" will be mindful.

Class Placement Reminder for 2026 🏁
As we prepare for the 2026 season, we’re reviewing 2025 season data, including lap times compared across all classes, not just within your own class.
If you consistently placed at the top of your class and are running lap times similar to riders one (or even two) classes ahead, it’s time to seriously consider bumping yourself into the next class.

👉 Your options:
• Start the season in the new class
• OR bump yourself after Round 1
At this time, we will NOT be posting a public list.
However, please know that we do have a list of riders who may be considered for bumping, and we will be reaching out individually after Round 1, once we see how the entered classes shake out.

⚠️ Important:
If TORCS has to bump you out of a class, only a fraction of your points will transfer.
This bump system exists for one reason: to keep competition honest and prevent sandbagging. We want racing to be fair, challenging, and competitive for everyone.
Please choose your class carefully and let’s make 2026 a truly COMPETITIVE season 💪🔥

👀 Hint: There are some class changes coming for 2026, so keep an eye out for that info very soon.

Welp as discussed here, this was a recipe for disaster, but now they just kick the whole idea to the side. Figures.

"We want to share a quick update regarding Adventure (ADV) bikes and the TORCS race series.
After continued review of course design, race-day logistics, youth participation, and insurance requirements, ADV bikes will not be included in competition for the TORCS series at this time.
Our series is built around course formats and schedules that prioritize safety and flow, particularly with youth classes running alongside adult racing. Across the series, ADV machines are not well suited for the big bike course formats currently in place, and we’re unable to integrate them without compromising safety or the overall event experience.
That said, we will continue to host Dual Sport bikes during the Big Bike races on both Saturday and Sunday. Dual Sport participation remains part of our weekend format and provides an opportunity for riders to be involved while staying within the structure and safety parameters of the series.
This decision allows us to remain consistent, responsible, and rider-focused as the series continues to grow. We are sorry for any frustration this may cause anyone. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and continued support of TORCS."

Curious how the bumping will go. There's some guys at the top of my class that would finish top-5 in the next class up and sometimes podium.

I'd say they better do it voluntarily!

Geez Rob...quit beating that TORCS drum. TORCS is just for a bunch of wimps. The TX Enduro Circuit is where the real men go!

:lol2:...You know I'm kidding. When it comes to motorcycle activities in general and dirt racing in TX specifically, the more the merrier, and we will all benefit from it. Good on you for keeping everyone informed and highlighting the enthusiasm for TORCS. I spent many years racing the TX Enduro Circuit way before the TORCS organization, and today I still work on the Concho Enduro. We always need more participation in both the folks who put on events and those who go race them. Good stuff.

Timely post.

I had long planned to bump my son into a B class for 2026, but the Powell race weekend made me reassess. Saturday he got second on 250c and had a blast, Sunday he crashed hard on lap 2 and left in an ambulance. Thankfully he wasn’t seriously hurt, but that weekend was a microcosm of how the season went…podium or crash out, with one being a serious concussion.

My plan now is to keep him in C for at least the beginning of the season and focus on building up his fundamentals in an effort to steer him away from relying too hard on energy and exuberance, while hammering into his brain the importance of maturity and resilience. Dirt bikes are like life; we all crash and it always hurts. Suck it up and keep going. I think he crashes, feels the pain, and panics. I’m not sure the Pro/A/B class is the place to learn calm control right now. I spoke with Jackie on this and she seems amenable.

If anybody has experience with this and wants to provide feedback, I’m all ears.

Sorry, I'm out now but my heart and love goes to TORCS and STORM before that. I liked STORM series better as the races were longer in time and length of the course. Heck couple of places you'd only run 1 or 2 laps as lap times were close to an hour. I usually did 1 TSCEC event a year. Even sometimes win my class. I never got into the time keeping, I'd just ghost someone on my row or row ahead of me, lol.

Heck my last race I did was a TSCEC in Kilgore, won my class. Figured good way to end it! Picture is with my friend Tom of TJ's KTM fame! He got 3rd I believe that day!

Now days, in this part of the state getting enough property to run either style is getting hard!
