Tour of Forts 2.0 Sept 27-29

What happened. If I might ask?

She stopped at a sign going for a right turn. Gary was looking down the road, saw that it was clear and assumed she had went. He was accelerating when he looked forward in time to see his assumption was wrong and she had stopped. He plowed into her. This was close to their home and she thought it was fine and they rode all the way to Jacksboro and to Fort Belknap on gravel roads. Its only once we got to Aaron's ranch camp and she took off her boot that the damage was clear. She NEVER complained. Or it was in French and we didn't understand it. One of the two...

This is my telling of what I heard Gary tell us. Important details might have been lost in translation.

Gary decided they should leave Saturday morning and it was a good call.

And you missed Aron’s heart stopping breakfast at Golden Chick.

I had to take her out, or she would have shown me up by riding better than me!!

We had left the house 4 times to join the tour of forts ride, but Sylvie’s bike wasn’t running right (carburation issues! I finally got it running right under full load, but it still died as soon as you let it idle. We decided to live with and go on the ride, so we set of for the 5th time and about 3 miles into the 130 mile trip to join everyone we approached a T Junction. Sylvie and I both slowed down but the car was far enough away that I assumed she would go (because of the carburation issue Sylvie decided she would wait and let the car go) so whilst still looking at the car, I started to accelerate by the time I looked forward I realized Sylvie had stopped and I ran straight into the back of her, she was stationary and I was doing about 15mph. We both fell over in the road and sylvie’s bike landed on her foot, but even with motocross boots on it broke her foot in 2 places! We picked ourselves up and she put some weight on the foot and convinced herself it was only bruised not broken so we rode for another 2 hours to meet everyone, completed day 1 of the tour. Day 2 and I decided her foot was broken so we abandoned the tour and went home to get the foot taken care of

I didn`t know Golden Chick served breakfast

They had some official looking menus with the Golden Chick logo and everything. So maybe it something some of them do.

Aaron created this item, which is an order of biscuits and sausage gravy, with rolls instead of biscuits, with extra gravy topped with 4 over-easy eggs. He calls it the mountain. Brewster ordered biscuits and gravy, with additional sausage patties and hash browns.

That Sylvie is one tough lady for sure.

edited to add, that not only did I not hear a whimper from her, I don't think I ever saw her without a smile.

238 miles on Friday, 348 on Sat, and 143 on Sunday. I live farther away than most of you but that’s a lucky 777 miles for the weekend.
I enjoyed it. Thanks again for hosting.
Aaron.

Aaron.
It was nice meeting you Tim, my miles were 130 Friday, 416 Saturday (Since I rode home Saturday night).

Now that's a hot mess for sure

I doubt I could finish that, and dang sure wouldn't feel like riding if I did.
I'd have it if I was in the cage. hot mess can be real tasty!!
I'd have to have Crystal hot sauce on mine.

I have a mileage app I use for my Buisness. Shows times of all drives, stops,

I had one also but did not eat lunch and only had a tuna salad for dinner.

They had "Texas Pete" hot sauce in a packet. I used one. Probably could've used 2 packets...
