We had a group ride 2 weekends ago . Hilll country never disappoints . Question for the pros here, do we know when was the twisted sisters 337 and 335 were last repaved. The section between Vanderpool and Leakey has some nice curves but the road surface is sketchy and scores a bike or two every weekend . Recorded this two weekends ago.

I was there at the beginning of C Scare, and 337 was being repaved. On last years trip, they were replacinng some of the low water crossings on the 335 side.

BTW, if you think this ride is cool, I'd consider it training for the Pig Trail, 123 in Arkansas, and the Pig Trail is training for the Dragon in NC / Tennessee

Also don't overlook the other part of 337 between Leakey and Medina, then 16 from Medina into Kerville. In 3 weeks Ill be there, and I plan to try 83 N out of Leakey, then 39 East into Ingram for a stop at Stonehenge 2, then back to leaky on 187 South to Vanderpool then 337 back to bent Rim Grill

BTW, shameless plug....

If you might be considering going back soon, check out our event that's about to happen.

Thanks !! Was thinking of taking of taking the streetfighter to pig trail. Did that on the Multistrada v4 in June. I wonder if November is still a good time to Arkansas or is it going to be damp and cold

One thing I do, besides having my own weather station on Wunderground, I find other stations in the area I will be going to, and bookmark them. You can see the current and history of the conditions.

I watched this one because it was near my camp at Petit Jean Mtn.

Here's one in Leaky that I'm watching for the upcoming ride.

If it's been online long enough, you can look at last years weather for an idea.

At least for most of Texas the winter is predicted to be drier than normal thanks to La Niña, maybe Arkansas will be too.
