This thread is for anyone who wants to share camping/cooking tips tricks or just bragging on new toys for motorcycle camping π
I purchased the kit.So is that the G2 5 inch? Did you get one of the kits or just the stove?
I'm sure I'll love it once I get used to using it!Well that'll pack down real flat.
I also have a jet boil for that reason too. Also have a wood shop in garage so plenty of oak pieces. Take a fuel bottle and some steel wool. Soak it in fuel, just as good as the expensive black beard wicks.I have own five different designs of wood stoves. All have their pros and cons. I remember one time in Colorado I packed a wood stove since I knew there would be plenty of wood. Unfortunately, it rained or sprinkled everyday. No dry twigs or sticks. Fortunately, I had packed emergency fuel: paper egg carton pods filled with wax. I had just enough for the trip. Used my last one the last day. My big problem was the soot. It covered the bottom and sides of the pan, somehow got on my hands and then transferred to my face, clothes' and hat. Being soot free is the big advantage of butane, propane, and gasoline backpacking stoves.
Ha ha yep, about as much as I hate riding Forest Roads!
Yep, there's a reason!!!Wow..... Beanie Weenie. Haven't had that in this century!
Yep, there's a reason!!!
If your freezing and sweating It just means your doing it wrongMy motorcycle camping usually involves earning Marriott points! I had enough freezing at night or sweating my you know what off camping when I was a kid. I can afford not to do that now. If I can hang around a campfire and then go inside to my room that's a good trip!
Or camping! If your freezing and sweating It just means your doing it wrong
