Saturday's ride after fantastic pizza at Whizzerville. (Sorry, no pix of pizza or the excellent peanut butter pie.)

We didn't realize this was the road that SteveO said was still passable. We tucked tail and turned around. (Sand Hill Rd)

Loading up Friday afternoon

First and hopefully last injury of the weekend. Sliced the end of it open on the exhaust heat shield on Daniel’s 690! 😬

Ready to roll

Two shots around 11-12 at night, one that is multiple long exposures combined and a single shot at normal. The moon was so bright no flashlight was needed… even in my tent!

We had a great time! It was nice getting to meet folks and just hang out. A BIG thanks to Steve and family for hosting us. It is a really sweet property. Also, thanks to all to people that let us ride their bikes, especially the 500 and 350 EXCs! The single track trails on the property were really fun and challenging for me as I’ve done very little single track riding over the years. The weather Friday and Saturday was absolutely perfect! Sunday morning was damp and foggy. We broke camp and headed out around 8:30am. I managed to get the truck and trailer up that steep drive with some serious bouncing and tire spinning and then made good time on the drive home. Wish I could do something like this once a month, but life… :zen:

Man, I'm glad I didn't go to this event. These pics here make it look like it was a KTM love fest...right up Steve's alley. What a bunch of elitists.:duck:

LOL!...looks like that was fun. If I hadn't been in preparation mode for my annual Big Bend trip, I would have gone. Remember me again next time, Steve. Beautiful looking property.

I didn’t take that many pics, when you host you tend to just bounce around. We really enjoyed the weekend and the hang. Thanks to all that were a part of it, and the donations. Here is a pic of Kubotamiketx getting his rig down in the pasture.

A shot of camp Friday…..

I stopped a couple times when we were making our pilgrimage to Whizzerville Hall to snag some pics.

On the way back to HQ, Daniel had some trouble with his 690 not turning over. We played around with it and it magically started working. He has a gremlin to find, shouldn’t be too bad a problem.

My 20yo daughter Emma went on the Whizzerville ride on one of Bwdmax’s 525s that we are now buying for her! Pretty stoked for her. She seemed to gel with it pretty well.

My 15yo son also went (shhh), saddled on my old 500. They are on the two middle bikes in the below pic.

My 18yo daughter Abby immediately started having 500 envy. This is a real affliction y’all! So she took the 525 for a spin on the trails back at HQ. She had a pretty good get off it seems. After a CIS investigation, we think a tree limb grabbed her armor, pulled it up hard and ultimately broke while clotheslining her neck pretty good. We thought her necklace may have been the bad guy, but looking at the armor, I don’t think so. Take away, she is probably going to go back to a regular roost guard chest protector setup? But she is still on a 500 campaign, stubborn, like her Mom!! First pic is shortly after the stunt yesterday, second pic was this morning.

My wife snagged a couple cool pics at camp yesterday and at supper time. Again, thanks to all for the fun hang!

Thanks, Steve and family, for a great weekend. Really enjoyed it, good to meet a bunch of TWTers. My weekend wa extra special, had a pinch flat on the rear on the way up as I forgot to air the rear up due to the extra weight of all my stuff and had it at around 18 pounds. So, no problem, until I couldn't find my air pump. When it was not in the kit I could plainly see it laying on my bench at home where I set it when moving it from one bike to the other. Called the wife and she ran to my rescue with a compressor. By the time she got the compressor, then needed gas, took her about 1 1/2 hours to get to me. She brought my little Ryobi compressor instead of the one I carry on the bike but I didn't tell her, it was a compressor that provided air. Had the tire back on the bike and ready when she got there. Pumped it up and could hear air, not a good sign. Pulled it back off and sure enough I pinched it putting the tube in. While working on it the first time I had managed to whack the back of my right hand and it was hurting pretty good. But I had asked her to bring another tube so I would have a spare so in it went and all was again good with the world. Onward. Got in later than I was planning.

Stopped in town at HEB and grabbed a steak for dinner, bacon for breakfast and some water. Ran into the HEB Mascot.

Beautiful spot to camp. Kind of the same as photos others have posted but a little different view.

And I would be remiss if I didn't show the cleanup crew who thoughtfully had flashing lights on as she made the rounds and kept things orderly. Not a great photo but better than none.

So got up this morning and loaded up and headed up the hill. Goign up the hill I noticed the bike was not feeling right. Stopped on top and sure enough, bit again, front tire was flat. Steve said I could use his air compressor and the slab in front of the shop, also loaned me a bike stand. Pulled it off and the tube was twisted. I had not had the front off so can't take the blame for that. Anyway, it had failed at one of the twist points looked like. Checked for thorns, nails, etc. but did not find any so put the new tube in. Evidently I have totally forgotten everything I have ever known about tire work. I pinched this one also! Not one spot but two it appeared. That right hand I mentioned earlier was really stirred up now and making it hard to do what needed done. Steve came to the rescue and got me going. I am indebted to Steve now and am a touch worried about that. Just kidding, thanks Steve, really appreciate the help.

So, overall great weekend. Figured out a couple of things I need to add to the kit and need to relearn tube changing cause I obviously have forgot all I ever knew.

I decided to trailer down so I could bring both toys to play with.

Full moon was pretty bright, my Pixel phone was able to easily take pictures in the middle of the night.

I'd like to thank Steve for a few things.

1. Hosting this event.
2. Tirelessly running the grill keeping everyone fed.
3. Helping to pick up my 500 and ride it up over the rock ledge without mentioning my Fallopian tubes even once.

A 14 second video of the buck that jumped across the road in front of me and the mule that tried to take me down. Poor video editing on my part, but it is just to support my campfire stories. The 206 mile route was awesome, but not much else to show other than nice gravel and great scenery. Go and experience it yourself. :-)

Founds a couple of hammock compatible trees by the pond. Had a great time.

Yes to all the above. Steve also picked the 450 up off me there at the ledge. Got ahead of myself a couple of times. Nothing to look at here folks, keep moving. At least no photo evidence has popped up yet.

This was good fun to see and read, but the burning question that remains is......

Did anyone jump on the old Honda three-wheeler and yell, "Hold my beer!!!"

I had one of these and came real close to being a victim! Hence don't care for them!

Last month when we were in Beatty, Nv there was a guy that was using a 1985 ATC250R as his transportation. It was a little rough looking but he was still using it.
