Unusual/rare motorcycles you'd like to have.

Not the one I owned, but I would love to have it back

1975 Norton 850, with electric start. Was always working on it but it was a fun bike. The original owner had installed every Dunstall option available. Fastest I've ever been on a motorcycle and it was thrilling.

I should buy one. Maybe I just convinced myself. Hmmm...my wife will have me sell some others.

True. I have a ‘96 S1 Lightning and have easily gotten parts so far. That one still has the HD 1203 motor, but the 1190RS is an entirely different bike. Not to start another bash HD stream, but had HD not been such a stagnant thought driven, chrome is king marketing mechanism we could surely have a true American bred team of street and possibly dirt machines not running on hot running, air cooled antiquated noise makers. Oh well.

I want a bike with a 750 or 900 inline four built as a cruiser. I just can't ride anything but a cruiser.

Saw this 81 BMW R80 GS at a motorcycle auction. First big adv bike at 410 lbs.

One of my buddies that was instrumental in getting me into motorcycles had a black Eliminator 900. I rode with him on it...ONCE. It was truly scary fast, not top speed wise, but 0-100mph wise. It also didn't handle so great. So the closer we got to 100mph, the scarier it got! It also had a tiny gas tank, just a few gallons. I don't think he could go even 100 miles before having to get gas. It was truly a boulevard blaster meant for taking on people pulling away from stop lights.

My other buddy had a V-Max. I forget the exact year (87 maybe?), but it was before they detuned them. It was faster and FAR scarier than the Eliminator!! The closer it got to 100mph, the worse the front end would start to shake. But man... the acceleration!? :eek2: And the sound...
