Maybe I should have gone for BBQ after all.

After the storms last night the hole I dug to expose the septic tank is now a small swimming pool. I'm now considering putting in a diving board.
Suck Truck should be here today, and I suppose they can drain the pool before popping the top to get the rest of it.

FWIW, some of the "rest of it" is from trips to Mallet Bros. :rider:

Why not try Popping Smoke BBQ? A guy I know owns it and the food is great. He is a career law enforcement officer and former Marine. You can read about him on the website

I went there a while back, it was pretty good. Real nice guy and good food.

Had some brisket and sausage, really enjoyed the sausage, brisket was good too.
Owner is also a real nice guy.

OK, I can't figure out how to include your pictures in the quote so . .

RE: the boot & hat house . . I almost asked you Thursday if y'all would come thru Huntsville (where I work) and I'd catch in but I decided you'd find a gravel route no where near. Dan Phillips built those 2 houses and quite few other unique homes in the area, take a look here.

RE: below the dam pic . . I ride there often, in my backyard and I didn't even know that existed, I'll have to stop by next time. Kinda of interesting to click thru Google Earth pics of the area.
