West Houston DS Riders

That’s the current situation?
"If you’re gonna be on the trails this weekend, make good decisions... if it looks too wet... think about it before you attempt it. Remember these trails are maintained by the FS and volunteers. Let’s not make more work for them or make it to where they close them and we can’t enjoy them. Have fun, be safe and let’s take care of our trails.

Good advice. We’ll see what it’s like up there and try to find the dry areas. I’m certainly not going to be taking the 990 into anything that looks too cut up.

I didn't take that picture but doubt it all looks that way. That black gumbo out of KP would be nasty. lol

Just got back from the trails, they were good! Some good size mud holes, but only 1 sucked me down, and 1 tree caught me!! I was quite proud of myself! 😊😊

Not me but a trail report.

We went to Kelly’s pond and took the Woodpecker trail. Which, with hindsight was a mistake. The trail got progressively worse and was hard work on the big bikes. Once we hit 204 we decided to give up on that area and took Kelly’s pond trail north from where it crosses 1375. Then did the north side of the Woodpecker trail. North of 1375 the conditions were just about perfect and the riding is some of the best I’ve ever experienced in the forest. First time in there with the big bike and will definitely be going back. Thanks to @mdavis2 and @TexasGsRider for coming out to play. Let’s do it again soon - when it’s dry!😉🤙

The trails were too wet. Surprised that they left the trails open. We got off of the wet trail as fast as we could. Still had fun guys.
Washed your bike yet Matt? I spent a solid hr with the pressure washer working on that mud.

Yes I will probably look to go ride somewhere if you want to meet up. I was hoping the forest would dry out this week but it looks like rain again Saturday so that is likely a bust.
Meeting up some guys from Katy. Possibly ride out to Fayetteville. I'll let you know once I know more.
