Not that steady. Trick is to take a drift pin and drive it in while the cut is still hot. Works better with acetylene torch cuts.

You have a steady hand. My freehand holes look more like very poorly formed spline holes.
Now we know....Not that steady. Trick is to take a drift pin and drive it in while the cut is still hot. Works better with acetylene torch cuts.

For emergency use at the race track, we used 8, 18 and 28 #/feet or 96, 216 and 336 #/inch. I see several on OLDTLSDOUG's chart that closely match those specs. I would be very wary of any spec for a bolt going into aluminum that exceeded those emergency torques by 50%. 8, 18 and 28 are easy to remember for 6, 8 and 10 mm. Suzuki threw a wrench in the works when they started using 7mm cam cap bolts on some early GSXRs.Sorry 105 lbf INCH
Beware of the 12 lbf-ft spec in manual. I completely stripped out 2 holes on this bike and yes I was torqueing to 144 lbf-in on 3/8 torque wrench. I lost one thread and thought sh&t happens, when I lost the second, I did some some quick googling which showed me this is a common problem.
Oil looks clean stillCouldn’t decide whether to change the 1090r oil at 5k or 6k intervals. So split the difference on this one and changed it at 5600 miles. (The 9k recommendation from the manual seems excessive.) screens were clean and filter wasn’t too bad.

I write date mileage and what I did with a felt pen on the jug that has left over oil and put up on chemical shelf. For lawn mowers, bikes, vehicles and even weed eaters and tractor and generator. Do you keep a log?Yes it did, but also the break in oil change was at 700 miles. So this one really doesn’t count as even 5k, I just like being on a schedule or I’ll forget.
Compare 6 x 1.0 torque specs between Camshaft Bearing Cap Bolts and same size Cylinder Head bolts.105 ft-lbs seems very excessive, I would think 25 ft-lbs or less would be more appropriate. Are you sure it was 105 ft-lbs? Maybe that is why it pulled out in the first place?
Note sure what year, maybe you meant inch pounds?

Good thinkinGot a set of rally pegs today for the 1090r. The stock ones are a bit small for my size 11.5’s.

Did the zip tie trick on the spring and pulled the pin. Well, until the pin met the brake pedal.

8 mm socket to release the pedal, remove pin, install new peg, blue lock tight on the bolt, and better than new.

I’m sure you cut more grass than me, but I went with an Echo electric weed eater and love it. I tested it and just kept cutting and never let off the trigger and got 25 minutes of constant work. 40 minutes to charge. I bought the light duty one since I only cut my house, but they have a heavy duty one.Replacement of rotten chain saw fuel linesView attachment 277695

Great, a little pricey at Lowes...How was that plastic bagged insulation to work with? Thinking about using some.
Think it is, didn't notice it was included...337 westbound?
Do they staple up the same as paper backed?Great, a little pricey at Lowes...
Probably not as durable as paper backed it tears a little easier, also no vapor barrier needed...Do they staple up the same as paper backed?
