What to use to freshen black plastic trim

I need to freshen the trim on my K1300s. I bought it from a sheriff's auction where it probably sat in the sun for ~1yr. Originally I made it look good with Mother's Back-to-Black and some elbow grease. Now it is starting to get white splotches on it. New plastics are too expensive

Any recommendations for a permanent fix.
Any "Been-There-Done-That" experiences good or bad

Ideas/products I've looked at:
  • >1200 sandpaper - need to try
  • Rust-Oleum Automotive 251574 11-Ounce Trim and Bumper Spray, Matte Black
  • SEM 39103 Black Original Flexible Bumper Coater Aerosol
  • Dupli-Color Trim and Bumper Black (TB101)
  • CERAKOTE Ceramic Trim Coat Kit
I have never tried this but... Some of the old school 4x4 Jeep guys say take a paint stripper gun or a small map gas torch and lightly heat up the plastic. They say that the color comes right back like new! Me I would very cautious about this around the paint. Also may want to practice first šŸ˜¬

This stuff works pretty good for me!
