Where to ride, what to see/do?

I'm trying to organize a ride for our local Gold Wing chapter and am not sure what there is to see and do within a 150 mile radius of Houston for touring bikes and cruisers. I'm looking for more than just a place to eat, looking for something of interest to see and do. We've done the Shiner brewery, the Bluebell ice cream factory, the first DQ in Texas, the Lexington, the Battleship and San Jac monument. I'm hoping someone on this forum can give me some pointers for "something else". I'm open to all ideas. Late Spring, I plan an overnighter to Burnet and Longhorn Caverns, and maybe another trip to Crystal City to see "Popeye". I'd appreciate some ideas here.

Ride over to the Blessing Hotel and have lunch. Then ride by the South Texas Nuclear Project and swing down to the beach and mouth of the Colorado river at Matagorda.
