Wrecked lost couple teeth anyone use Mexican dentist

At the price of official hockey Jersey $120 the goalie (Jason mask) was cheaper so I just bought the mask now no one can see my teeth. For some reason they stare at me more with my new mask than with my busted up teeth, can’t figure out why.
Not sure why, It's october, you're just getting a head start.

Even without the mask, it's not like missing teeth are uncommon in the surrounding areas where you are.

Is there still a limit of two bottles of Mescal with the worm when entering back into the USA?

When I lived in San Diego, I had no dental insurance and used to go to TJ frequently to get my dental work done. The place I went to, initially put me off, as the equipment looked dated, but the dentist's skills were amazing. The cost of the crowns was about one quarter of what the US dentist quoted, and I have never had a better dentist.

Wife's niece and her daughter went to TJ for surgery to help lose weight and both are doing fine several months later. Really helped them. They had a good referral and did a lot of homework.

When we lived in Yuma 15 years ago a group of us moms would drive several of our teens to dentist in Mexico for braces and monthly checkups. He did a great job at a third of US cost. but even back then we wouldn’t go down by ourselves, only in a group.

I've seen some great dental work from Mexico and I've seen some scary too. If you go to Mexico for dental work they are not all created equal. Do not go to anyone without good solid recommendation.

This sounds crazy asking this but I was rear ended at red light (they had no insurance) and knocked a couple teeth out. My dentist wants $20,000. I hear some have gone to Mexico for implants. I Live in south Louisiana. Since most people on this forum live in Texas and Mexico is close has anyone done this. I dont know if I would do it but if it was safe and by someone that is reputable and is as good or better than US dentist I would consider it. Has anyone been to Mexico for anything like this? If so could anyone recommend a Dentist to check into That they have used. I started on mini bikes at 6 then racing dirt bikes at 9 and have been riding street bikes and dirt my entire life worst thing is some concussions and some broken ribs at the track and now a couple teeth. I’m still a luck guy.

I had an implant done 5 years ago, front tooth, was ~$2800.

I'm a bit late to the thread. Here are my 2 cents since I am a dentist in TX with my own clinic btw.

For implants, take your time to find a good specialist. Mexico is definitely cheaper because of the cost of living, currency exchange, and different education requirements (more in US). There are good and bad docs/clinics in both the US and Mexico. Wherever you choose to get it done, you will pay with either time or money, or both.

One important thing to note for OP since he didn't mention which teeth got knocked out and what the oral condition was: It's important to budget for extras because in addition to the implant (which is just the titanium screw), there are other things which may be needed such as x-ray, surgical guide, abutment, crown, bone/gum graft, etc. There are tons of clinics which may advertise "low priced implants" to get you in the door, but then hit you with the other fees, classic bait-n-switch.

There are several well known brands of implants with reputable 10-year success rates used in the dental community. I would ask:
1: which style/brand he plans to use (many clinics use cheap material to increase profit margin)
2: if he is doing immediate-load or traditional implants,
3: final prosthesis selection (which lab vs CEREC),
4: how you will be monitoring post op and implant success,
5: treatment alternatives (bridge, partial denture).

The road to success with the implant is more than just placing it. It requires osseointegration and careful post op along with the finalized prosthesis. That is one of the issues with doing it in a different county. Anyone can place it, but sometimes it fails and no doc in the States will touch it for post op, at least not for free. If you want some advice, let me know.
