I like to watch.

Show me your best zip tie monstrosities.

Not me, but funny anyway.

Better than most.

The home stayed dry and we got power back after 3 weeks on two generators.

Hosting a single lady with four dogs in the playhouse, which is really just an extra bedroom in my backyard. 8 personal dogs in the house, 7 in the climate controled garage, 4 in the playhouse.

We rode the storm out with 22 dogs under roof.

It's been a feces exhibition, but we muddle through.

D A A A A N G! On all the poo pee, lol

I'm a native Houstonian so I've been thru a storm, maybe 2. My adult daughter lives in LC, her house fared incredibly well all things considered but she went w/o power nearly the same amount of time.

I hope you & the dogs are doing well. :thumb:

This is the front of Wasabi's KLR. We were in Cloudcroft and he went down, right into a downed tree  We had to remodel the front end brackets with a big drift pin and wrench... That is RSquared holding both. While they took care of that I used a 1/8 drill bit and drill loaned to us by the owner of the little motel where we were staying to drill stitching holes. It was raining off and on and the owner let us work in his garage :thumb:

All better and ready to ride a few more days... (@Wasabi on left, @Rsquared on right).

Here is my KLR after an encounter with a deer... The front fender and the fairing were both ripped. It was still like this when I sold it some years later and the buyer didn't care.

My Daughter calls it Frankencan as I got tired of waiting on hold for a replacement after the trash guys bounced the can of the curb one too many times and cracked the lid

Not exactly porn, but look at how much I paid for this 100 pc bag of 4" ties 32 years ago. For a couple bucks more you can buy 1,000 pcs of various sizes from HF. This was in one of the boxes I unpacked today. The good news is that the USA company is still in business and doing fine.

I think I still have every bag or tube of zip ties I've ever bought. But plenty more that came free. In the data center where I spent most of my career, I pulled a couple of huge bags of 18" zip ties - used for bundling cables - out of the trash, along with 50 yards or so of velcro ties.

I try to buy UV resistant ones when I can. No dirty pics to share. The front license plate holder on my DIL's car was affixed with 8 zip ties, but you can't see them. My front license plate on my jeep is also zip to be tied.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm sure someone here knows. Aren't the black ones all UV resistant?
