Nice looking bags for sure.I feel like me and them bags need to have a conversation.
Friend of mine had a blue later model Bandit with the same panniers. He had the top covers painted, looked pretty good,

Are you in Canadia? This isn't called a GSX-1250F up there?New guy here, from a long ways north of Texas.
My 2010 GSF1250SA version of the bandit:
Bought it last year with ~45,000km on it, now a bit over 51,000km. Originally this was to be a decent two-up travelling bike for myself and my wife but it has turned out to be the best street bike I have owned and I love the thing.

Cool, and my wife is from lovely downtown Merritt.I am in Canada. My bill of sale and registration call it a GSF1250SF. We have pretty much always got the same designations as the US while the rest of the world got the GSX designations, going back to the air cooled GS models in the early to mid 80's.
We don't really see heat like you would define it, but I don't get heat in the crotch or on my upper legs. My feet do get pretty well roasted at highway speeds in hot weather, even with gear on. I just did a 1700km 3 day trip with a buddy down into Montana, then across the Idaho panhandle into Washington and then up into southern BC with temps in 90's the whole way without much discomfort beyond my feet getting warm.

Add in the missing humidity you're deprived of out west and you have a 24/7 sauna.I didn't realize this was the same thread I'd already waxed about the different names. I'll have to do further digging.
I did a ride crossing TX a few weeks ago during the July heat surge. I think the temp at which you feel the heat while riding is something just north of 100F/37.8C. I think Google said it was 107F when it felt like I had a hot blow dryer on my lower legs.
