Not For sale is my 2005 Dodge Ram with 5.9 Cummins diesel engine and automatic transmission, 2wd.

I bought it from a friend who aged out of the RV hobby with only 28,000 miles. Currently has 180,200 miles.

It includes a sliding 5th wheel hitch that previous owner used.

It is well maintained and everything works as intended.

Great for towing motorcycles or anything you might latch on to!

I was ready to trade in for a 2018 Ram 6.7 cummens diesel. The mechanic said 'i would keep the 5.9" So, Ill see you all at 250,000 miles.
Thanks for looking.

One more picture of hitch and tool box.

The tool box has fuel storage and switch in cab to fuel from it on the go.

Did I miss the asking price?

Re: 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 SLT

Boy.... that's the GOOD motor TOO... only thing it needs is a Jake-Brake.... I have a 2010 with a OEM J-brake installed and I love it towing my 38' travel trailer....

I'm interested, but Lavaca county is a heckuva long way from Ft. Worth.

Would you mind either posting or sending me interior shots?

Interior shots show that vacuuming is needed!

I plan to have it in the San Antonio and Austin area Saturday but that's still a ways out from you!

Re: 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 SLT

It has Trailer Tow Group option, 3.73 differential, Class IV Receiver Hitch, 7 Pin Wiring Harness, Auxiliary Transmission Oil Cooler, 4-Spd. Automatic 48RE Transmission, Lock-Up Torque Converter, Anti-Spin Differential Rear Axle, Trailer Tow w/4-Pin Connector Wiring, GVW Rating - 9900#, etc. I'm copying all this from the equipment listed I looked up with the VIN number.

Towing a 14 foot flatbed with Polaris ranger crew makes it ride better.

I will be at Fort Sam tomorrow attending a graduation ceremony so schedule is pretty tied up. Saturday I'll be in Windcrest area going toward Buda and Austin to look at campers.

It is set up to tow using factory leaf springs. No other modifications were made or needed.

The receiver hitch is 2" square and factory installed.

The 5th wheel hitch is Reese 16K puck type and can be removed leaving only the "pucks" flush mounted on floor of the bed.

lol that's a given. The yards of topsoil and pallets of grass did wonders for my '06 4wd lol

So no bags or springs, just the factory overloads to help with loads?

I'm on your 35 corridor to your destination. I've got a little time in the morning on Saturday. I was gonna suggest I could have a look for anyone interested who lives further away since I know these trucks (looking at you mitch), but I don't need another diesel truck for myself...right now..really...don't need...i shouldn't...i can't...

Let me know yall

Re: 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 SLT

Monica ... very kind offer.
I'll get with you you both if interest morphs into tire-kicking.

Re: 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 SLT

I have an 05 3500slt but 4x4 and would not sell it...This has the same miles as mine and I bought min new. Probably one of the best diesel trucks ever built. Like that fuel set up also. That truck should get 18-20 on hiway unloaded and would have a huge range:trust:

Re: 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 SLT

Interested at taking a look at it when you swing by the San Marcos area.

PM Sent.

How many gallons does the in bed tank hold??

Thanks

I'm taking this off the market. I went truck shopping yesterday and started by talking to the mechanics.

They told me they would keep the truck with 5.9 Cummins rather than buying the new version of engine.

I'm sure the new version is OK but mine is apparently the standard for durability and reliability.

Will keep it a while longer I guess.

Thanks for looking and for the interest.

Haha. I agree with Jeepman. Plus I kept waiting waiting for a message so I could go check out the truck.
