Anyone know of a good area to practice DS skills around the San Antonio area.
Don't want to get too far out in case I eat it.

This is the route of our last ride.
Check out the stuff between Castroville and Hondo, especially along Hondo creek.
What was the total distance? A buddy and I are looking to do a ride the weekend of August 6th and this looks like a blast. Any chance you have the GPS track?
Cool looking place but I am looking for something a little closer to San Antonio, maybe just out west. Abandoned gravel pits, county roads, etc. I have the Dual Sport Riding Techniques video and just want to practice some of that stuff without getting too "out there" in case I have some trouble.
Thanks!
This is the original route built in MotoWhere.
I think you can save the tracks under the share drop down. But there are other good roads as well not on the route, come on out and explore.
Or come to the Bike Breakfast with a map and I'll be happy to point you in the right direction.
Did you find out about the videos from the banner I have up?
Are dry creek beds legal rides? I've seen quads in Hondo Creek from 90. That could be fun.
Texas passed a law several years ago making it illegal to ride in all river/creek beds in Texas. I think that the Red & Canadian Rivers are except.
