I went north on 287 to 1745 to 2590 and eventually back down. Below is a pic of the route I took around it.

Nice. Long detour, but I'm sure it was fun too. So do you know why the road was closed?
It was extremely muddy as far as I could see from the "Road Closed" sign. I didn't try it since I was by myself.
Good choice. From the looks of Joel's video, it wouldn't have been much fun when wet.
