We used to camp at Potter's Creek Park at Canyon Lake about 20 min from Wimberley.

I looked it up. Looks fun. Nothing available on any weekends just like state parks.We used to camp at Potter's Creek Park at Canyon Lake about 20 min from Wimberley.

We also camped on the San Marcos River LeisureRV (?) at Fentress, just West of San Marcos on the way to Martindale. Only about 30m from Wimberley. Or call 7A ranch in Wimberley, they have cabins but may offer campsites I don't remember. If not they may be able to refer you to something else local. A lot of places in Wimberley were wiped out in a flood a few years back so pickings are slim. Buena suerte.
