15th Annual Smokey Bear Dual Sport Motorcycle Ride

As always jungle Jim (Racer X) and I finished up the week together, clean week no mechanicals no flats just a leaking fork seal.

Next up the banquet at 630pm at Ski Cloudcroft for fun and prizes.

I just received the donation total from the Cloudcroft Fire Chief.

The 2023 amount is a new record! Thank you to all for the donations!!!!
2021 $1400
2022 $680
2023 $1585

He did leave me a VM on Friday afternoon, that I didn’t receive until mid-morning Saturday after I had already dropped of the money at the fire station. He apologized for not having a representative at the Cloudcroft Fire / EMS donation @ the pre-ride gathering on Friday morning.
They were training in Socorro but still planned on sending a rep, then a crew was sent to the Gila’s to fight a fire.

Smokey Bear riders have now donated a total of $3655 to the fire department / EMS in three years. We talked about doing to donation for years, but it was Gabriel and Keith that really got it started in 2021.

If anyone would still like to donate - https://www.cloudcroftfd.com/contact.html

As access to trails is under attack it is very important to visually giveback to organizations in the communities we visit, and of course if we need assistance, we want 1st responders to have the best tools.

Also, the Fire Chief is a rider, he’s planning on racing the Mile High Enduro, if it happens, in September.
