Don't have the mileage for the year but this is my speedo when I rolled into the parking lot at work yesterday morning:

I've had the bike for 4 years and hope to keep it another 4, Lord willing.

got new '07 Bandit end of May. Starting mileage was about .3 I think. Spend half my life offshore ;^(> Have 7,700 on it now so averaging a bit over a 1000 a month just messing about. Sold my '00 KLR last week so all my bike mileage will be on the Bandit now. I was riding about 60% KLR and 40% Bandit before the sale.

Well here 'tis the end of another month with one to go for the year.

Re: 2008 Starting Milage

2004 Suzuki DL650 - 36546 :borg:

Ending mileage: 52806

My best year yet: 16260

Miles on the Jeep: roughly 1800 (didn't have a start count)
Most of those were hauling tools to TWT Tech days.

I am officially done riding for 2008.

Total Mileage: 26,582

Days ridden: 358

Rode in 11 States and 2 Countries (USA, Spain)

I hope everyone had as much fun riding in 2008 as I did.:rider: :rider:

I look forward to seeing many of you on the road or at TWT events in 2009.

Dang... I'm still a junior compared to most of ya'll. Only 7923 on the clock this year. Man! I really need to get out more!

cant wait to start '09. i got cheated out of a few months last year.

yea, I did too. Haven't kept monthly records of the numbers but:

4/22/08 - 0.6
12/31/08 - 14,610 (after rolling in from a ride with Abby and Shootergal)

I think I made up for the late start. :rider:

Bike will be going into the shop for repairs from recently putting her down, so January will be a low month on the mileage. But hey, just means I have to ride more in Feb to compensate. :rider:

I'll finish with 10200 for the year. Not my best year, I resolve to ride more in 2009.

Wow! Needed 272 miles today to hit 32K for the year and got there by some very strange twists of fate. Started off planning to shoot a few road signs and then kick it in the behind to get the needed miles. First little twist was when I was a mile from home and realized I had forgotten my cell phone -- circled back to get it. Next there were a few places where I wanted specific back drops for the pictures and went a few hundred yards extra each time to get them. Third, when I got to Lake McLellan, I decided to take a short cruise through the area on the park road and back out. After leaving the lake area, I then headed over to McLean and made a short detour off my planned route to get a pic of the old Route 66 sign. That took me about 3 miles farther than anticipated around McLean. I left McLean thinking I would head down some isolated back roads to Memphis and over to Silverton and home from there. All that should have easily put me well beyond the 32K mark. As I neared Memphis, it was getting very cold so I stopped there for a quick snack, gas and a warm-up. Decided after the snack to just head for home by my normal route, not really caring about the miles as I was tired and cold. But as luck would have it, I pulled into my drive just as the odo on the cruiser rolled up enough miles to hit exactly 32000 for the year (my personal best) -- must be fate. :zen:

That's not too bad for me. I took the car a lot this summer because of the heat. Dang, but the Valkyrie mileage seems consistent...gotta change that. Seems like I could nearly double the Valk mileage with another run to Alaska...I'm kind of past due on that anyway. Hmmm (think, think, think):rider:
