My 2008 riding season went like this on the R1150GS "Mandarin Pig" (and I never left the state) Jeez, I've got to get out of here.

10,965 miles for the year. not bad and like M38A1, I never left the state. I, too, have to go for a ride.

I get to slip one more ride (home from work) in before the clock strikes midnight. As far as I can tell from a search, I posted my starting mileage in January and never checked back in - so all I'll have is a total. I'm guessing at least half of my miles will have been added on during two weeks in the Spring.

I also have no idea how many miles I've added to bikes other than my own. It was more this year than previous years, though.

2008 was a busy year for me and I didn't have time for any long trips. I'm ashamed to say that I rode only 6,228 miles this year. I usually do twice that amount!!!

And ended with 61158. That makes 12960, 5k of which were within just two weeks in the Spring. I'll guess about 600 (?) miles on the XR and 800 (?) or so on other people's bikes.

Well looking at the above quote my mileage slipped this past year with relocating and all. Oh well, maybe more this year.

Here is our mileage for 2008.
Mine:
1996 Kawasaki Voyager start 55038, end 65015, total 9977(broken speedo for about 2500 miles)
1978 Yamaha XS650 maybe a couple of hundred miles total.

Hers(ladyrider):
2005 Yamaha 1100 Vstar Classic start 29109, end 41182, total 12073

My mileage is probably just a bit more than hers because I rode some that she didn't. My speedo went south on the second day of our 10 day trip to the Dragon. It was also down when we went to the Changing of the Colors Rally in Arkansas.
My goal is to log more miles on my 650 in this coming year, and make sure the Voyager speedo stays working.

Beginning mileage was about 16,5xx and ending mileage was surprisingly 21,461 !!! Total for year ~5000 miles...

I say surprisingly because I thought I hadn't rode any at all this year. The spring was wet. The summer I always wimped out and took the cage to work and for the last quarter of '08 I never rode because I was sick with some sort of respiratory infection, congestion, bronchitis or whatever it was, I'm just glad I can breathe again...LOL

Since I have changed bikes this year, I have not kept a tight measurement of miles ridden. I am around 12k for the year. There is a similar thread on the motorcycle tourers forum in the Delphi forums, a lot of those folks logged over 60k in '08, amazing. I don't do that with all my vehicles combined.

YTD Miles: 16,026mi

Jan 1, 2009:

December Mileage: 877mi

YTD/Ending Mileage 2008: 16,903mi

For some reason I expected to do more this year, but I certainly can't complain. Four states, a great 10-day, 3,000mi trip, and lots of day trips around Central TX.

Hopefully '09 will be even better

16902 Miles total and my speedometer broke while on the big toy run. It's actually over 17K for the year.

I'm pretty happy with that for a total. The old Yamaha put on as many miles as a lot of newer bikes and I think it's ready to give me another year of good service.

I only did 7557 miles this year on the bike but i did not get the bike till mid April and was not able to make any long trips. i hope to do better in 09

Finished up with 21,305 miles for the year.... or I should say for 9 months - had a little layoff in 2008.

I wrapped up the year with only 6,854 miles. I haven't been on the bike if I haven't been commuting. It's less than 10 miles, one way. No vacation or trips this year.
